Utilising the latest available workplace safety data, we can offer e-learning, facilitate face to face on-site training or offer blended programmes to suit your specific requirements.

We can facilitate staff training either on your premises, offer central Bristol open courses or connect your staff anywhere they would prefer to learn via our blended or online learning platforms. Our open courses are a convenient way to train your staff, in the company of other organisations in order to connect and share best practice workplace safety.

Fire Safety Awareness

The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace.

Candidates will learn basic fire safety principles in order to ensure they are keeping themselves and others in the workplace safe at all times. They will also learn what to do in the event of an emergency and the simple measures that can be taken to control the risk of fires. This course is an ideal way to ensure that all employees have a good understanding of fire safety, whilst minimising disruption to your organisation’s day to day activity.

Paediatric First Aid - Level 3 Award (RQF)

The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework and is ideal for:
• Those who have gained a level 2 and/or level 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early-years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with EYFS requirements
• Registered childminders and assistants who are required to hold a current and full paediatric first aid certificate in order to comply with the EYFS requirements
• Anyone who has a non-professional involvement with infants and children, such as parents, grandparents and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills.

 

Successful candidates will learn the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider and will be equipped with the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment when dealing with a range of paediatric first aid situations.

It has been specifically designed to provide successful candidates with a route to applying for the Green Labourer CSCS Card. Supported by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), this regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been developed to provide a basic awareness of health and safety within construction.

Education and Training – Level 3 (RQF) Award

The QA Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed to be an introduction to teaching for those who work or would like to work in the further education and skills sector.

 

Over a 5 day period, candidates will build an understanding of the specific roles and responsibilities related to planning, delivering and reviewing inclusive training sessions. Topics covered include: maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment, ways to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment, assessing learners and providing constructive and developmental feedback.

Successful candidates will leave with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to prepare them for teaching in a wide range of contexts, in environments such as Further Education (FE) Colleges, Local Authorities or independent training.
